Liverpool Loves 2016

Liverpool is a city of many things. A city of music, a city of business and a city of culture.
One ambitious festival unites all three. It welcomed 27,000 visitors in its first year and took home ‘Small Tourism Event of the Year’ at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards. It takes place over three days from Thursday 4th August and it’s called Liverpool Loves.
Liverpool Loves returned to Liverpool’s Pier Head for a second consecutive year and was jam packed with good things. So much so, it’s kind of hard to describe. But everybody loved it.
The event was organised by Orb events, the team behind Brazilica and Liverpool Pride. Josh Boyd the man in charge said, “This year we’re going a bit retro and reliving Liverpool’s sounds of the 60s. We’re really honoured to have Merseybeat legend Beryl Marsden headlining. She shot to fame in the 60s, playing at The Cavern, alongside Cilla Black and The Beatles. She has this amazing, powerful but soulful voice, which people really respond to."

Below are a selection of photographs I took at this years event...
