Vitality Netball World Cup - Liverpool 2019

The biggest tournament in the netball calendar -The Vitality Netball World Cup arrived in Liverpool today, Friday 12th July.
Taking over Chavasse Park at Liverpool ONE, the official free Fan Zone will be open each day of the competition from 12th to 21st July.  Visitors will be able to watch the match action streamed live on a giant screen, take part in netball activities and enjoy exciting music and entertainment which has been programmed by Liverpool City Council’s Culture Liverpool team.

To mark the opening of the Fan Zone, Deputy Mayor and Cabinet Member for culture, tourism and events, Councillor Wendy Simon was at the park today. She said “Staging prestigious events such as the Netball World Cup is yet another reason why Liverpool is held in high esteem in the sporting world. For ten days netball fever is going to take over the city. “We wanted to create an area for those fans without match tickets to come together and feel part of the action and there is an exciting mix of music, dance, workshops and of course netball, to keep people entertained.“
